Browns Lane Market
Browns lane hosts artisan markets in a cobbled courtyard with lights, murals and great atmosphere. Barshaw Park
Enjoy family fun, great scenery and superb facilities at Barshaw Park in Paisley. Enjoy a pond used by model boat enthusiast, an outdoor gym, Children’s play area, BMX park, crazy golf, putting, walled garden, café, miniature railway and its very own gold course.
Paisley abbey
From foundation in 1163, as a Cluniac Monastery Paisley Abbey retains its medieval nave with transepts and choir restored in 19th and 20th centuries. It has Royal Tombs, fine woodcarving and beautiful stained-glass windows.
Tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm. No booking required. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Gift Shop. Tour lasts one hour. For a group booking, please contact Abbey Office at least one week in advance.
Sma Shot Cottages
Typical weaver’s cottage that was originally built in the 1750s. A row of three small cottages dated 70 years ahead in the 1820s-1840s, where you can immerse yourself in history as you experience life as a weaver in this historical town during the 19th century. Sma Shot Cottage are a registered charity. Admission is free.
Paisley CarFest
20 June
Paisley’s CarFest roars back, bringing a full day of motors, music and family fun to Paisley town centre from 10am–4pm.
Expect everything from vintage classics and custom builds to supercars and iconic American motors, alongside FREE kids’ activities like rides, a Children’s Grand Prix, face painting and more. Add in live music and a buzzing market, and you’ve got the perfect family day out.

Paisley Book Festival
15 - 17 May
The festival will showcase local writers and groups and provide opportunities to develop local talent.
Saturday will be dedicated to a family day.
