PCV Coachbuilder - Greenock depot

McGill's is Scotland's largest independent bus company, with depots across Greenock, Inchinnan, Johnstone, Coatbridge and Barrhead, and, we're looking to recruit a PCV Coachbuilder in our Greenock depot.

With a fleet of over 400 vehicles, the engineering department is a 7 day a week operation. We have invested over £10m in new buses, equipment and technology in recent years - meaning you get to work with state of the art equipment as well as a diverse range of vehicles.

The Team

Each depot has a full maintenance facility and we have two paint and body shops within the business. Our standards are uncompromising - our on-street vehicle presentation is amongst the best in the UK. This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-moving quality driven environment, with great pay and career prospects.

The Role

As a skilled builder, you will work in a busy engineering workshop maintaining and repairing company vehicles to the high standards set by McGill's and the DVSA.

Main responsibilities:
  • Assess and repair accident damage
  • Maintain external and internal bodywork of vehicles including panels, bodywork, interiors, flooring, seats and windows
  • Carry out preventative maintenance
  • Maintain company vehicles including accident repair, body overhaul, PSV preparation and welding
Please note that successful candidates must be time served, fully qualified PCV Coachbuilder and hold the appropriate City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
