Fancy becoming a bus driver?

You can be part of the McGill's success story!

McGill's is hiring! We are looking for both PCV bus drivers and trainee bus drivers across our 5 depots; Greenock, Barrhead, Inchinnan, Johnstone and Coatbridge.

If you enjoy driving and fancy a job that comes with a nice set of wheels, then a career as a bus driver could be the job for you!

Find out more about becoming a bus driver from some of our employees:

Greenock driver, Pat Hogan, said about his job: "I've been driving with McGill's for over 10 years. I enjoy the variety of shifts and routes, along with the companionship with my customers. There's a great team spirit at McGill's and I would recommend a career as a bus driver to anyone who thrives on providing great service or a job where two days are never the same."

Coatbridge driver, Andrew Marsden, said about his job: "I was in sales for 21 years before I drove buses, and needed a more flexible career where I could work part time. I enjoy meeting new people and getting out and about with my job, and I treat my passengers how I would treat members of my own family."

George King, McGill's Training & Recruitment Manager said: "McGill's is a progressive company and we operate to exacting quality standards because our customers expect it. We are now looking to expand our driving teams across all locations, and candidates with relevant experience and qualifications should apply."

George continued, "Being a McGill's bus driver is about much more than just driving a bus. It is about delivering exceptional customer service every day, to all kinds of customers. It's about getting your customers to their destination - work, school, shops, for example - safely and on time. It's also about developing a rapport with your customers and being the key reason why people choose to make the journey with McGill's. It's a rewarding career that requires enthusiasm, and sometimes a sense of humour!"

McGill's is keen to hear from experienced drivers who already have their PCV license. We offer both full and part-time permanent positions, with uniform, free travel, company pension and other benefits.

We can help candidates secure the required PCV license too!
