McGill's driver shortlisted for driving awards!

McGill's partnered with Traffilog in 2017 as in important part of its health and safety focus, where Intelligent Traffilog Units were installed in every bus, which would produce data insights to:

- Vehicle and driving performance, further reducing road risk and making journeys safer and smoother for passengers.
- How each vehicle is driven, giving drivers information on how to improve thus allowing us to increase driver awareness through training
- Idling reduction, reducing CO2 emissions and minimising the environmental impact of our vehicles

Every year, Traffilog highlights the most talented drivers at its annual awards, and McGill's is delighted to announce its Inchinnan driver, William McSorley, has been shortlisted by Traffilog for its Excellence Awards!

Traffilog Excellence Awards will review mileage and safety data to establish who are the very best drivers, using Traffilog technology, in the UK.

After deep consideration, McGill's considered 15 drivers across its 5 depots, of which 2 drivers were put forward to Traffilog, both Jacquline Morris from its Johnstone depot and William McSorley from its Inchinnan depot. All 15 employees were considered due to their excellent driving skills, customer satisfaction and other positive attributes they bring to their role as a McGill's driver. William has been subsequently shortlisted as one of the 6 finalists in the UK.

The winner will be announced at the beginning of March, where both first and second place will win a pair of tickets each to Wembley for a FA Cup semi-final match.

Colin Napier, Director of Operations, at McGill's said: "I'd like to congratulate all 15 of our drivers who were put forward internally. I''m proud William has been selected as a finalist, it's fantastic his impeccable level of driving standards have been recognised, out of thousands of eligible nominees for the competition. I'm sure he'll do great throughout the remainder of the competition, and everyone at McGill's is behind him."
