Look out for McGill's Connect&Go!

McGill's has launched a fully commercial Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) - meaning residents in Upper Skelmorlie can book their bus as and when they need it.

McGill's new Connect&Go! can be with customers in 10 minutes or less; perfect to link to your connecting McGill's bus, train or ferry at Wemyss Bay.

The service, which will utilize a new state of the art, low emission, Mercedes Mellor Strata, will pick up and drop customers off as close as possible to their location within the Upper Skelmorlie area. Single and return tickets can be bought on bus and all valid McGill's GoZone tickets are also accepted. Scottish concession card holders are eligible to travel also.

Ralph Roberts, McGill's Managing Director, said: "We're proud to be launching this ground-breaking service; it means that the bus will be with customers within 10 minutes of their call, what could be more convenient! Through ticketing will be on offer for customers travelling beyond Wemyss Bay."

"There will be no extra cost to passengers using this service and customers can book their return journey at the same time."

"Residents of Upper Skelmorlie won't need to stand at a cold bus stop now that they can call their Connect&Go!; it's safe convenient and offers great value - we're confident people will enjoy the benefits of this new on-demand service."

This service operates Monday - Friday from 07.30 to 17.30 and Saturday from 07.45 to 17.30, you can book by calling 01475 600 001. There's a new mobile app coming soon too! Check out our leaflet below!
